The hike u to and into the cave itself is steep, but the bulk of the trail is a mild up elevation change. Many go as far as the steep part, view the cave from there then turn around and go back. Many also venture up to the cave and into it. The Birthing Cave is one of the fastest and easiest to visit. Round trip, this hike comes in at 2 miles and most people can do this in about an hour, if you move fast.
