WebI would suggest switching to the new Outlook dot com, from your at Hotmail dot com account. I believe in settings of the account you can set Outlook dot com as the default. Any emails sent to Hotmail should still deliver to your new Outlook dot com. Not exactly an answer per se', more of upgrading and moving to a newer domain option.
