Web2.1 Hazardous Waste Definition Paragraph 1 of Section 1 of the Regulations defines “hazardous waste” as anything that is to be disposed of using a disposal operation set out in Schedule 1 (reproduced in Appendix 2 of this document), and that also meets at least one of the six requirements outlined in sections 2.1.1 to 2.1.6: WebA hazardous waste is extremely hazardous based on the following criteria: Acute oral toxicity3 – LD 50 is less than or equal to 50 mg/kg.
